Russian folk art is a unique phenomenon in the world's history of culture, due to its richness and variety of genres.

In 1995, Baltic Travel Company founded a professional ensemble of music, singing and dancing called the Highlights of St. Petersburg.

The repertoire consists of folk songs and dances from various regions of Russia and includes the lyric tunes of the Russian North, traditional folklore of Siberia and Ukraine, acrobatic dances of Don Cossacks, and the flamboyant dances and nostalgic songs of the gypsies.

A live balalaika orchestra accompanies the singing and dancing.

The ensemble consists of a choir, orchestra, and dance troupe:

• Choir - 12 members
• Orchestra of Russian traditional instruments - 10 musicians
• Dance troupe - 16 dancers

Since its foundation, the Highlights of St. Petersburg has been successfully performing in the best concert halls of St. Petersburg and Russia.

Audiences from Germany, China, Spain, and Thailand have been overwhelmed by the high professionalism of the group.

For the approaching 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg, the group has prepared a bright new program called "On Nevsky Prospect" with unique tricks, lively acting, and unforgettable costumes.
